Play normal mode here : https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1273254455/ -------CONTROLS------- arrows move/crouch/look up Z - Shoot X - Jump C - Lock in place V - EX/Super EX (Takes an EX card or 5 EX cards for super) Space - Dash -------- DEBUG KEYS ------ P- Enter Debug mode (Visualize hitboxes and variables) A- deal 49.9% of enemy damage (Skip to phase 2) O- Max out EX cards ------------------------------------------------------------------- Roaring Knight mechanics, attacks, and notes : -Blades fall from the sky that deal damage if touched, if a blade is pink you can attempt to parry into by pressing X mid air, a successful parry rewards you with an EX card. -The red box means the knights about to SWOON, be careful not to get hit, SWOON is always dodge-able by crouching, but crouching isn't always necessary. -When being shot the knight has a chance to enter Slice and dice mode, during this mode the knight defense gets 3x stronger meaning your bullets do very little damage and the knight sends waves that need to be jumped between (dashing helps here, but learning the timing is difficult) however, using an EX move causes the knight to take a heavy amount of damage (over 2x more than usual) and stops Slice And Dice mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE v1.8 PATCH NOTES -Fixed parrying timing because it was kind goofy before -Decreased rate of swords because I'm adding new attacks and it needed to be balanced for such UPDATE v2.01 PATCH NOTES -Added SWOON Swipe attack -Added falling star attack -Fixed hitbox issues, *STILL NOT PERFECT* -Changed card animation to represent cuphead more -Nerfed sword attack lots to compensate for the new ones -HEAVILY nerfed the roaring knights HP to compensate for difficulty -Buffed EX move a fair amount -Added Slice and Dice attack ---------------------------------------------------------------- V2.02 -added smoke bomb because I use it in game lol -Further adjusted hit box of slice and dice attack -changed jump height to make dodging easier V2.5 -HEAVILY increased parry accuracy so parrying feels much more natural -Fixed every instance of random damage even when not being hit -Reworked the blocking slash to be faster but easier to dodge -Increased max HP to 4 -Shooting the knight with a normal peashot now gives double EX charge -Fixed an issue where even when parrying you sometimes still get hit -Added new debug features V3 -Added a SUPER EX move (Give it a shot its really cool) -Phase 2 now starts with a difficult "Roaring" Phase, this only last a few seconds but is definitely a run ender (It spams projectiles) -Increased The Knights max HP to compensate for all the Cuphead buffs -Added a new feature where if a parryable sword hits the knight they redirect it and throw it to the left at high speeds -Swords now have actual hitboxes rather than being photo accurate -HOPEFULLY fixed the last of the invisible projectiles so you shouldn't take a hit unless your meant to now. -Adjusted sound effect volumes because some things where really loud and others quiet -This update is more of a setup for V3.1 where I will rework phase 2 entirely :)
@Darkblade12 made the original engine however as a cuphead 300% player I noticed some inaccuracies so I fixed those. This project was a remix of the engine here : https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/209979011 But the OG creator since abandoned scratch and pursued a career in music so I removed the remix tag (by reuploading the sb3) to better promote the game, still this project was made much easier because of them, thanks for reading, cya! #Papyrusistheroaringknight
