[ TW: mention of death ] ❝ I am tired of this dream . . . ❞ Briarpaw slowly opened her eyes. Through the den exit, she could see that it was still nighttime, but the sun was just about to come out. ❝ Will it ever end for me? ❞ For the last couple of days, she didn't really pay much attention to her shoulder wound, since she was mainly distracted by her apprentice training. But now, as she sat up in her nest, Bri could tell it wasn't exactly... getting better, to say the least. ❝ Let my body keep you warm . . . ❞ She got up to her paws and slowly limped out of the apprentice den, careful not to disturb any of the other cats. Usually, when she couldn't sleep, she would go lay down on her sun-bathing rock and gaze up at the stars, so that's what she did. Briar trotted up to the rock, wincing at every step, and pulled herself onto the smooth surface. ❝ Let my essence be your breeze . . . ❞ As she gazed upwards, she noticed that the stars were brighter than usual. Closer. Warmer. ❝ Can you hear me calling? ❞ Ria glanced down at the deep gash on her shoulder that stretched across her neck, and she slowly peeled off the stale cobweb and poultice coverings. The skin surrounding it was warm, and she wasn't exactly a medic, but it probably wasn't something good. ❝ Can you set me free? ❞ As she watched the stars twinkle in the sky, she started to wonder... that if she died, would anyone even notice? Would anyone care? Would anyone even... remember her? ❝ Will you take my soul away? ❞ There were hundreds of cats in UrchinClan. She could be replaced /pretty/ easily. Briar doubted that any of her friends truly liked her at all, anyways. Who /would/ even like someone as terrible as her? ❝ Casting me in cold . . . ❞ The sky started to lighten up, although the sun wasn't visible yet. Bri glanced at her wound again. She didn't really know why, but something in her mind told her that she was never going to heal from this. That she would never hunt alongside her friends. That she would never learn to fight properly. That she would never smile in pride as she receives her warrior name. That she was bound to die from the start. ❝ Bury me in bones . . . ❞ And... somehow, someway, even to her own surprise, she wasn't really sad about it. It was calming, even. Does this... "StarClan" and "Dark Forest" the cats speak of actually exist? If so... she didn't really believe in them, and didn't really... fit in them either. StarClan is for good cats. Noble cats. Heroes. She clearly wasn't one of them. The Dark Forest is for evil cats. Cats who want to hurt other cats, who want to cause chaos. She probably wasn't like that either. Wherever Briarpaw was going... she just wished she could finally get some rest. Finally get a break from always trying to be perfect. Finally... be free. ❝ Rest eternally . . . ❞ The sun rose up, painting the sky and sea a vibrant orange. Everything around her shone with a golden glow, but the stars seemed to shine even brighter than the sun. Briar... had actually never watched a sunrise before. Not like this. And it was... gorgeous. If this was truly the last thing she'll see before she passes... then she was content. ❝ Will you take me home? ❞ The burning agony from her wound started to fade, and she slowly closed her eyes, bathing in the beauty of the sunrise. ❝ Dancing in the dark . . . ❞ Finally, she was at peace. ❝ 'Til we fall apart . . . ❞ Finally, she was free. ❝ I can't end this dream . . . ❞ ❤・・♡・・❤・・End Of SRP・・❤・・♡・・❤ ok so um wow i'm not actually... /that/ sad about this? to my surprise? at first i was super attached to briar but now i'm kinda chill with this lol oh well i guess she'll never grow up and learn that she doesn't need to be perfect to be accepted ;-; o7 briar ah welpppp time to get another cat anyways this was my first gens cat, although i think i kinda did a bad job with it T-T first of all i wanted to do a lot of real fights, but since briar is so nervous and is absolutely NOT the kind of cat to fight i had to kinnnnnnnnnnnda break character?????? and that resulted in her death (well deserved \/-\/ i'm so sowwy briar) and also i was kinda indecisive about whether i wanted her to be a warrior apprentice or a medic apprentice, and i grinded up a lot of both warrior and medic apt but i did it way to late (took a long break from rping lol) so briar got put as a warrior apprentice heh :'3 and during kithood i made the mistake of rping multiple real fights at once, usually i only did one just in case i got a buncha minors and stacked to a fatality. uh yeah. i'm a dummie i know- ToT but yeah the healing results just came back, they rolled a 2/100 resulting in fatality TwT i mean guys at least she had her apprentice ceremony before her death- sum other links you might be interested in idk: cont. in n+c
