A Pokeball. In my pocket. Ok, it’s been two days, and the doctors finally let me leave the hospital. I told my parents that I wanted some alone time in my room. Which is where I am now, so I think that this is the best time to see if the Pokeball has anyone in it. Here we go. I close my eyes and toss it. There’s a bright flash, and right before my eyes I see… an Eevee! It’s the same one that saved me on the Maid of the Mist! It approaches me, cautious at first, and then gently rubs its head against me. I pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming, and sure enough, it hurt. This means… I’m a Pokemon Trainer! A real life Pokemon Trainer!!! And this Eevee is my partner Pokemon! This is amazing!!! But I don’t have a lot of time to celebrate, because suddenly, it jumps out of my window!!! I quickly bolt out of my room, hastily yell, “Hey Mom, I’m just going out for a walk!” And sprint out the door. I was no going to lose my partner Pokemon on my first day as a Trainer. I see Eevee go into the Pokemon card stores pet door, and, unfortunately, the card store is closed. But I was not giving up. I pound on the door hoping for someone to answer. Thankfully, the owner opened the door. He smiled, and said “So, it seems it was successful.” I give him a confused look. Then he said “ Follow me.” He lead me to a hidden elevator- which somehow had a pet door- that went down into a bunker of some sort, and then I went through a pair of doors to reveal what looked to be a Pokemon paradise, with poke-shops, Poke-stops, and, of course, Pokemon. Eevee came out from behind a Poke-stop and rubbed against me. The owner of the shop smiled. “Welcome to the Poke-club.”
