I probably should've done this sooner =\ I did this for funsies, but... I guess it's LORE TIME- Dereck EX is an upgraded version of the original Dereck, the original found destroyed, they were brought to the workshop of someone who was capable of fixing stuff, (definitely not me), whereas, Dereck had a malfunction during the repair process, where he was no longer his original self, he had become Dereck EX, now free from the last chains for when he had originally been created by Ricky (I think, according to Crystal_Butterflies' Dumbfounded show), now working his way to become the best influence he can be by... well, becoming a top star to entertain his viewers (not just fans), and contributing to other shows in the world of Dumbfounded. One day however, when he sees Echo for the first time as his upgraded EX self during one of his performances, (which, if you know Echo, then you know her) he gets a small error in his memory due to a lot of his memory from his past being erased from his systems, then glitches out and falls unconscious for a while. Now, he's fine, but reminders of his past constantly make him glitch out since he knows he remembers something related to that, but cannot remember anything beyond that. That's all for the lore. Credits: - Toby Fox for Death by Glamour and the one that Dereck EX was heavily inspired by, Mettaton EX, ah, don't we love this Undertale character? - Crystal_Butterflies for the OG Dereck of course (I still remember the time when he was first introduced as a bully character.) - Me :3 for the artwork.
