RIP hellopaint.io, 2021-2026. Hellopaint was a collaborative drawing website that I consider responsible for the way my style evolved, especially the rendering. Today, it will be/was merged into mal[del]mal.io. I'm very happy to have been able to use the site as long as I did, and a lot longer than a lot of people, but it still hurts! My rendering came to be because of the site's sub-par brushes and trashy layering systems. I've barely played around on malmal, so I don't know if I'll ever be able to experience the sandbox where I grew my digital art style ever again. I've included the last two pieces I ever will make on hellopaint here. 1. Mitsuba Sousuke :) 2. Funeral... Thank you hellopaint for over 2 wonderful years, and hopefully malmal will be worthy of your splendor. Credits: -me for art -hellopaint for being simultaneously the worst and my favorite -Mitsuba Sousuke is from TBHK You can see my style evolve through these three projects, all of which are done on hellopaint... https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269302921/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1264174593/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1227831243/ I'm really gonna miss drawing with my friends and people who pop on. I've got many happy memories on this site, and I'm glad to have found it! My art really grew to be something unique on that platform. Adieu, hellopaint.io :)
