[ About Me! ] @Gardenleaf :: Ace, genderfluid xeyxem :: I draw both digitally and traditionally, and I happen to be maybe a sub for generations wcrp. :: [ Territory! ] Peahens appreantly live in grasslands so, meadows/grasslands it is. A breeze rustles the grass below your paws, colorful flowers away in the sweet breeze, above you is no much more then a clear sky. [ Physical Species Traits! ] Splendorclan is based off of, well as previously mentioned peahens (Aka peacocks) more specifically if peahen is too broad, the indian peafowl :: basically taller cats with dull coats but colorful feathers and eyes :: they are at least mostly vegatairian eating mostly plants however the occiasional rabbit on special occasions is not rare, bugs while not something that everyone has every day, is something that sometimes appears on the food pile alongside mice, also they are quite fast they also know how to freeze food in leafbare :: a moor would condition cats to be faster to catch rabbits and most of their diet is based off of real peahen's diets they do not share the freezing food method with outsiders so it is unknown how they do it. :: whilst generally quite athletic or thin, the cats within Splendorclan can be of any body type. However Fur must be a monochrome color or brown while feathers must be any color that peacocks come in eye must be gold, emerald green, or rarely sapphire blue. Must be 18-24 in w/o disabilities/disorders :: i don’t know if they’d be oviparous or viviparous. [ Societal Traits! ] (Answer at least five of the provided questions, these are designed to make the clan more unique, and more than five are encouraged to further flesh out your clan, and recieve extra points when judging, though are not required. ) - Typical clan demeanor (are the cats usually friendly, hostile, reserved, kind, greedy, etc?) They typically are quite focused on their appearance and vanity, while also being a bit greedy and willing to take a bit more then they need. They often quite enjoy the performative arts. - What traits are valued in the clan? Being quite socially intelligent is one of the most highly praised traits, others include a proviciancy in dye/accessory making, swimming (if the northern territory is chosen) dancing and several others, including creativity. - How are outside relationships viewed in the clan? Generally they do not care as long as said outsider does not oppose their traditions. - Are medicine cats, deputies, or leaders permitted a mate? What about kits? The leaders and medics are permitted both however the lead medic will take over if they chose to stay in the nursery, lead medics however are not. - Are they selected from birth for these roles, or are they chosen from the clan’s population? For medics they are typically selected very early on in life, about 2-4 moons. See leader selection below - How do they interact with each other withing the clan? - Do they have any naming trends, taboo names, or special prefixes or suffixes reserved for certain ranks? They typically have names relating to glamour or greatness, it is not hard to find a group of Splendorclan cats with the names of Emeraldrossette, Sparklingflight, and Majestylight. It is generally considered taboo to name a kit after their fur color unless if it is to praise them (Greykit is taboo but not Sunlightkit) Apprentices/kits do not have suffixes until adulthood, prefixes like Masquerade, Eternity, and Facade are common. - Do they have a different kind of governing system than the canon series clans? Perhaps a democracy, monarchy, or oligarchy? They have a democracy, where when a leader dies, every cat in the clan (including kits) votes on a new leader, who they believe would represent their beliefs on what Splendorclan should become (note that to vote someone they must be at least 24 moons old and cannot be your own character) They do not have deputies. - Do they have different names for their leaders, deputies, medicine cats, warriors, etc. They have a different name for their leader, called a speaker, and their medicine cats are called medics. - Do they have any ranks that don’t exist in the canon series? They do not have deputies and they have the lead medic which is the oldest/most experienced/trust worthy medis who handles - Do they believe in StarClan? The Dark Forest? Something else entirely? Or do they believe in nothing at all? While they are generally atheists they hold minor belief in the dark forest. - How strictly do they follow the warrior code? Are there parts they would change, or rules they would add or remove? They view it closer to a set of guidelines or moral rules, then a straight up law book, they would definitely include clanmates and maybe all cats to the save if in danger rule and disallow all cats to murder anyone of any alligence. - Do they respect history, or see ancestors as a boring, obsolete thing? They often retell history though oral traditions, such as performance.
- Do they want good relations with the other clans? They do wish for good relations with the other clans, as to avoid bIoody wars that would stain their feathers - How do they treat outsiders? They often will politely escort them out of their territory unless they are considered trusted, then they are given a brief tour of the territory which skips over areas like camps or other places like such. - Are they territorial? Somewhat, see above. - What does their camp look like, and why? Although unknown the true appearance of the camp, it is often described as not appearing to match their outward appearance, on an unwise unremarkable stretch of grass land with slightly shimmering stones marking the outside. - Do they have any special traditions? - What skills do they teach when training their apprentices, besides flying, hunting, and fighting? Performance, dye making, jewelry making etc etc. - Do they have any funny expressions, insults, words, or sayings? (Ex. from canon series- ‘when hedgehogs fly’, ‘mousebrain’, ‘Twolegplace’, ‘only StarClan knows’) No, I don't think so? Maybe tall ones? (two legs) [ Current Leader and Clan History! ] Please design a leader (or leaders, however many you chose to have need to be designed) for your clan that is in compliance with the physical limitations previously set by you. If your clan is picked, you may decide whether to keep the design and be the first leader of your clan, or entrust it to someone you believe will be able to keep up with leader responsibilities. Also, please create a history for your clan (if your clan sees fit to record their history) perhaps including details such as the founding of the clan, any major figures or leaders, and other historical events. Most history prior to a speaker known as Spotlightstar is unknown, this is due to the fact that before then, the previous speakers did not due much to push for history preservation due to the wars that took place after the clan's founding. Spotlightstar had seen many a cat be almost completely forgotten just days after their passing whilst growing up. So when they were elected speaker, they pushed for history preservation, birthing the clan tradition of writing songs about deceased cats after their passing to remember their life. Another lesser known figure is Sapphireshine, a lead medic who served as temporary leader for 14 whole moons during a war with another, now fallen clan, they imposed several laws within the clan that many are still followed to this day, such as the age minimum for being elected to speaker being 24 moons, prior to this it was 60 moons, at just 32 moons old (around a moon into their reign) they were considered 'Wise beyond their moons' and 'The first speaker I've seen actually do something.' Their reign ended when they successfully resolved the war due to speaking to the other clan's leader, choosing peace over mindless bloodshed and conquer. They were actually elected to be speaker when they finally held the speaker election, however they turned down the opportunity and allowed themselves to act as a key advisor to Illusionstar, today they are remembered as a wise, but humble cat.
