!!! WARNINGS : Mentions of witchcraft, bullying(@bus3), description of wounds !!! ==A Message To The Moon== =======Prologue ======= Zarianne Tnecserc was a rather peculiar young girl. A rather /witchy/ young girl. She had long, beautifully curly brunette hair, shimmery pale blue eyes, and a strawberry birth mark in the shape of a cresent moon. She wore only khaki jumpers and wide-legged cargo jeans, whether it be Winter, Spring, Autumn, or Summer. Her only friend was the Astrology teacher, whom nobody else listened to as he droned on about moon cycles, light-years, constellations and the surface of the sun. One day, the class was learning about the cycles of the moon for he fifth time this week. As usual, only Zari was listening. Only Zari heard about the witchcraft. Only Zari knew that she was a witch. *** After class, Zari was ambushed by her worst fear; Millie Gray. Local popular girl, /and/ local bully. Millie slammed Zari against the lockers, an evil smirk tugging unnaturally at her face. "What'cha got to say for yerself, Witch-girl?" Sandra, the fisherman's daughter, called out from the pack of girls crowding around Millie and Zari. A chorus of shouts of agreement followed, with many remarks such as "Kill the witch!", "Burn her!", and even one time "Melt her down to a pile of green sludge!" Millie silenced them with a wave of her hand. "Leave the witch-girl to me," she scoffs, "I'll show her where she belongs." Zarianne clenches her eyes shut and just waits for the blow. *** The rain patters down on Zari's face, pooling around her bruises and cuts. She had two black eyes, a poibly fractured nose - and Millie had even found a pair of scissors to cut her with. Zari shudders in the cold. Nowhere to go that will be safe. Especially now that her Mum worked fo Millie's Dad at shipping center. She sighed and sank to the floor, pressing her back up against the cold brick wall outside Selene Prep. She never understood that name. Who named their kid 'Selene'? No time to ponder about that now. The rain pounded down upon her without mercy. Shakily, she stood and stared down at her sodden, muddy clothes and cut hands. She'd give her mother a heart attack if she turned up like this. Zari trodded back into the Astronomy class. "Mr Newma-" she was cut off by a collective of gasps. A group of young-looking men and women were standing fomally in a circle, with something scrawled on the classroom floor in white chalk. "What-" Next thing she knows, everything is dark as Mr Newman strikes her over the head with a world globe.
