Yall I know I'm not an expert on anything but I find lockdown drills really stupid. And NO, I'm not saying we shouldn't practice them or keep kids safe. What I'm SAYING is that rather than the government putting down heavier gun laws or making it impossible for students or people under 18 or emotionally unstable people to GET g*ns, they shove a buncha kids in a corner, lock the door, and shut off the lights, teaching them to hide from danger that's preventable at the root. It's incredibly stupid, quite honestly. It's INSANE that rather than putting away the guns or restricting them, we're teaching kids to be afraid of going to school. And while this ain't what it's about, parents shouldn't have to worry about whether or not their kid's shoes glow or if they're too bright to hide from a sh00ter. Lockdown drills are absoutely dumb af.
