(RECOMMENED TO NOT FULL SCREEN) WARNING: THIS TAS IS INCONSISTENT! THIS TAS IS OPTIMIZED! Please press the green flag multiple times Okay, the timer is INCONSISTENT, as well as the TAS itself, but the time is around ~899 frames (~28.67 seconds), so yeah :) RETIMED AGAIN! 860 WHAT IS A TAS? A tool-assisted speedrun or tool-assisted superplay (TAS; /tæs/) is generally defined as a video game playthrough or speedrun composed of precise inputs recorded with tools such as emulators. Tool-assisted speedruns are generally created with the goal of creating theoretically perfect playthroughs that human speedruns miss out. This may include the fastest possible route to complete a game or showcasing new optimizations to existing world records. TAS requires research into the theoretical limits of the games and their respective competitive categories. The fastest categories have no restrictions and often involve a level of gameplay impractical or impossible for a human player, and those made according to real-time attack rules serve to research the limits of human players. The TAS developer has full control over the game's movement, per video frame, to record a sequence of fully precise inputs. Other tools include save states and branches, rewriting recorded inputs, splicing together best sequences, reading the game's memory, macros, and scripts to automate gameplay actions. These tools grant TAS creators precision and accuracy beyond that of a human player. OK, this TAS was pretty easy to make, but however, really boring to make because I had to keep on resetting (pressing the green flag) a LOT of times because the TAS is inconsistent... okay, not really the TAS, but it's because of the Scratch Player. The THING is that the Scratch Player is held with duct tape because there's probably a script that is responsible for playing the project, and that script is probably REALLY inconsistent in TASing, because the Scratch Player is probably made for GAMES, and most, if not ALL, games are consistent, but TASing? That's a WHOLE other experience, because there's NO EMULATOR or TAS ENGINE for SCRATCH itself, so we have to use input blocks, and input blocks basically write inputs and that's it. So, because it writes inputs in a specific amount of frames, it will DEFINITELY be pretty inconsistent, but the inconsistency is probably based off how the game is coded. Overall, this game was simple to TAS, but a PAIN in the BUTT to make because of the inconsistency! Hope you enjoy the TAS :D
