APLA: 610,000 men Armed Forces of Kentucky: 560,000 Just before the Armed Forces of Kentucky settle down in the southern part of the front, we would launch an offensive, utilizing our numerical advantage in tanks, men, and fire support, as well as attempting to gain air superiority, to strike their lines along I-75, particularly using the towns of Berea and London as pincers to attempt to encircle any AFK troops. Next, we would redirect forces from around Frankfort and reposition them to the south of Lexington, using I-64 to quickly transport our columns at night under SPAA and air cover, preventing as many blockages of the highway as possible to relocate the troops. We would purposely make ourselves look weak so as to draw the best of enemy forces there for a counteroffensive by Kentucky. In order to prevent a total collapse of the line, we place 2 additional echelons of defensive positions 35 and 50km behind the front near Frankfort, respectively. With Kentucky's best forces tied up around Frankfort (hopefully), we can launch an offensive from the south of Lexington, using Route 150 and 68, along with our aforementioned numerical superiority, to assault the whole breadth of the front line south of Lexington, prioritizing rapid breakthroughs in the general direction of Louisville in order to confuse, distract, and delay enemy reserves moving towards the front. At this time, it would be painfully obvious where the main strike was coming from, so it would be LIKELY that the AFK would attempt a counterattack at our spearhead. As their best forces would be in the process of retreating from the Frankfort area, and our best offensive troops would be in the area, we can minimize the effects of a potential AFK counteroffensive. After this, we would attempt another feigned retreat, this time potentially giving away the city of Lexington. While a potential attack and capture of Lexington after our feigned retreat wold cause delays in our logistics as Lexington is a key logistics hub, connecting I-75 north-south across Kentucky, as long as our additional defensive echelons around the city do not fall, particularly at the towns of Winchester and Paris, we can simply redirect our logistics to the southern part of the front around the Town of Mt Sterling, or even Owingsville or Morehead if enemy artillery or drones attempt to distrupt our logistics. While the enemy is advancing through Lexington, we would attempt to discreetly attack (or weaken) their flanks, hopefully gaining more control around I-71 or Route 150. Because we withdrew additional forces from around Lexington, we can redirect them to the areas surrounding Lexington. After a preparatory barrage of SPGs, MLRS, FPVs, and maybe even one or two ballistic missiles for fun, bombarding the towns and logistics centers of Lawrenceburg, Glensboro, Mt Eden, Taylorsville, or just Route 62 leading out of Lexington in general, we will attempt to encircle whatever forces are in the Lexington pocket before they can retreat, destroying as many AFK troops in the pocket as possible. After this, it is pretty obvious what we would want to do next. In an attempt to circumvent the defences the AFK would CERTAINLY have, we would have our offensive columns drive along Route 62 before heading north towards the border with Indiana, hopefully ending up at the towns of Irvington or Hardinsburg, attempting to avoid the defences of Fort Knox as much as possible. This move would aim to cut off the Louisville area from external support. After this, a campaign of urban combat to take Louisville will commence. The most important part of this is that the AFK does not break the Louisville pocket. If that happens, we can siege Louisville for as long as we want. As for Fort Knox, we would adopt the same strategy, using saturation bombardments separated by as little as an hour to rattle the defenders of Fort Knox as much as possible. Besides that, we will have to resort to a number of different siege tactics, such as constant harassment, infiltration, and tunnel warfare, in an attempt to have the garrison heel. In addition to these physical attacks, a wave of psychological warfare would be constant, impelling the defenders to return to their families and give up their arms for a more peaceful reunification of America, or whatever propaganda might need to be used, such as the reading of scripts by AFK POWs. When they inevitably (hopefully) surrender, we will do our best to consolidate our lines.
