Yesterday, Teutonian troops began entering Zamundaalande in an attempt to quell the growing tensions within the nation. The units entered primarily through Southern Zamundaalande, where they immediately began securing key sites and providing assistance to civilians affected by the ongoing unrest. Several hours ago, small-scale fighting broke out in the hills near the Ekh'rel area. Teutonian forces eventually arrived in Ekh'rel, where they intervened and managed to halt the fighting between pro-independence forces and pro-Teutonian forces. However, the fragile calm was shattered when a shot rang out, striking a Teutonian soldier in the chest. Chaos erupted almost immediately. The two factions resumed fighting, with a Teutonian IFV and four soldiers caught directly in the middle of the confrontation. What had begun as an intervention quickly turned into a three-way battle, with all three sides engaging one another amid the confusion and violence. The fighting continued for roughly another hour before the stalemate was finally broken by the arrival of Teutonian reinforcements. The sudden reinforcement of Teutonian forces forced the two factions to withdraw, allowing the IFV and the four soldiers trapped in the fighting to escape. All 7 Teutonian personnel survived the encounter, although they sustained major injuries during the confrontation. In the aftermath, the Teutonian Government has expressed serious concern over the incident. The violence in Ekh'rel has severely strained Teutonia's relations with both factions, with officials now facing growing uncertainty over how the conflict can be contained without further escalating tensions.
