Jay was make in 1913 along with 3 siblings Amy #682,Jordan#683 and Susan#684 they were all withdrawn until 1922 when they were purchased for a steam program called the dk&e (Dakota Kansas & Eastern) with Jay getting a new paint job while his siblings stayed in the original colors for historic excursions they also got auxiliary tenders for more power and they still run to this day.
