I genuinely love him so much, guys, he's like, the only person I will ever love other than my three best friends </3
Quick story time as to why I'm posting this: So basically, my mom decided she wanted to try Burger King and before that we went to the library near where I live, and so we got Burger King after the library, and my mom and my little brother (3 years old) went inside, me and my dad stayed in the car, and I asked him how he was (not just to ask, but to genuinely listen), and he opened up to me. He eventually fell asleep for about three minutes after I didn't respond, he didn't need words of comfort, he just wanted someone to listen (much like I do, I prefer people just listen), and so I started thinking about how much I love him, and how much he's done for me and how I would prefer losing my mom before ever losing him, but with how much things he's going through with his health, I don't think that's gonna happen. And so I didn't want to cry, but my eyes were glassy, thank God he didn't notice or else I would've been so guilty about crying when he was vulnerable like that. Then we went through his gallery of old videos of me prior to when my mom came back when I was eight, long story, I'll explain it some other time. Then my mom came back into the car, so... That's that. I've just realized how much more my dad has done for me than my mom ever will. He took care of a five year old without complaining for three years, and he works two jobs just to keep this family running while my mom does some sewing business she's started on Facebook and will never be nearly as supportive as my dad will ever be. Yes, me and my dad don't interact that much, don't talk much, and don't see each other that much for more than two hours a day, but when I see him, and he sees me, I can tell him all the things I can't tell my mom. I can play around with him, and joke with him, and respect him in a way I will never respect or act around my mom, no matter how much she complains about me respecting or loving my dad more. Because I do.
