The Origin of Vern-Kulu, the last of the Treasures of Ruin By COOLCADE17 One day, long, long ago, in the wonderful world of Pokémon, there lived a person named Vern. And he was not a very nice man. He stole things from people for fun. Everybody in the village (ancient times, remember?) cried. People reported to the ecilop (now they're called "the police") and they never caught him. One day, Vern thought, "Is this big enough? I get the feeling I don't strike enough fear into people's hearts. I want to be a real criminal... and to do that, I have to commit the greatest crime of all. Stealing from the king's chamber full of gold!" That night, the heist began. He had to sneak past guards, defeat guard Pokémon, and break through the safe. The building holding the king's chamber was the only advanced building in the village. Then he found the Forbidden Key, which opened the doors and revealed his new treasure. Sadly, it was a successful swoop. He was so dedicated to being a criminal that his evil lived on after he passed away. The evil spirit went to a cemetery and found spirits of others who passed on. Then, they combined together all at once with the key to become a new Pokémon, ready to strike and take revenge at any moment. They weren't some random ghosts anymore. They were now Vern-Kulu.
