Cont from - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1376361627/ HER STORM Tempest's greatest strengths can very easily become her greatest weaknesses. Her determination can become stubbornness. Her confidence can become arrogance. Her ambition can become greed. And her desire to push forward can make her forget that not everyone can keep up with her. She has enormous expectations for herself, and as she grows, she may begin placing those same expectations on the cats around her. Especially her crew. Tempest wants to accomplish something great. The danger is that she may eventually become so focused on reaching the horizon that she forgets to look back at the cats who helped her get there. ☾ V. THE CAPTAIN'S CODE ☽ ≋ ◖❝ Drowning in your open arms ❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ With other fools like me ❞◗ ≋ ⚓ Tempest's dream of becoming a captain isn't only about the title. She doesn't want to sit above everyone else and give orders while her crew does the difficult work. In her mind, a captain should be the first cat into danger and the last one to abandon the ship. She wants to be someone her crew can depend on. Someone who can make decisions when nobody else knows what to do. Someone who can look at an impossible situation and say: “Then we'll find another way.” THE CAPTAIN'S RESPONSIBILITY Tempest believes that being a leader means taking responsibility for the cats who trust you. She wants her crew to know that if something goes wrong, she won't simply point claws at someone else. If she makes the decision, she'll own it. This is part of why Tempest can be so demanding. She holds herself to an incredibly high standard, and she naturally expects others to try just as hard. The problem? She doesn't always recognize when trying harder isn't the answer. Sometimes a crew needs rest. Sometimes someone needs help. Sometimes the best decision isn't the boldest one. Tempest will have to learn that leadership isn't about being the strongest cat aboard. It's about knowing when to push forward and when to stop. THE CREW COMES FIRST Tempest's greatest rule is simple: A captain never leaves her crew behind. She doesn't want a crew merely because having one sounds exciting. She genuinely wants companionship, loyalty, and cats who can experience the world alongside her. To Tempest, a crew is a promise. You look after each other. You trust each other. You celebrate together. And when the seas become rough? You hold the ship together. Of course, Tempest is still Tempest. She can be greedy. She can be stubborn. She can push too hard. And there may come a day when what she wants conflicts with what her crew needs. That's where her code will truly be tested. Tempest doesn't believe freedom means having absolutely no rules. She believes freedom means having the choice to decide which direction you sail. And perhaps that's the most important distinction in her philosophy. She doesn't want to control everyone. She wants everyone aboard to have a reason to stay. If her crew follows her, she wants it to be because they trust her, not because they're afraid of her. That may become difficult when her ambitions grow larger. Because the further Tempest reaches toward the horizon, the more responsibility she will have to carry with her. And eventually, she'll have to answer one very important question: Can she become the captain she dreams of being without becoming the kind of leader she once hated being told to follow? ⚓ ≋ ◖❝Treading water, shipwreaked and free❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ I could leave, but all I know is-- ❞◗ ≋ ☾ VI. KNOWN AFFINITIES ☽ ≋ ◖❝ Im in too deep… Deep… ❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ Im in too deep. ❞◗ ≋ ⚓ FAMILY DYNAMICS Tempest's family will play an important role in shaping the cat she eventually becomes. Being raised as the daughter of MossClan's deputy means that responsibility is hardly an unfamiliar concept to her. From a young age, she's likely to have an understanding that her family carries expectations, and that others may have expectations of her because of it. Tempest doesn't necessarily resent this. If anything, she may see it as something worth proving herself against. She wants to be recognized for what she accomplishes rather than simply being known as the deputy's daughter. She wants her own reputation, her own achievements, and eventually, her own path. Cont in N + C
Her relationship with her mother, Silverfishsolace, will therefore be especially important to her development. Tempest can be affectionate and loyal toward those she trusts, but she isn't the sort of cat who will blindly accept every decision simply because it comes from someone she respects. She's naturally independent, and as she grows older, that independence may occasionally put her at odds with her mother. Still, disagreement doesn't necessarily mean a lack of love.Tempest can challenge someone while still caring deeply about them. And perhaps, underneath all her ambitions, one of the things she wants most is for her mother to eventually look at everything she's accomplished and think “That's my daughter.” ≋ HER SOFT SPOTS Tempest is likely to develop particularly strong bonds with cats who believe in her without trying to control her. She values trust, loyalty, and companionship, and although she may not always express affection traditionally, she tends to show that she cares through actions. If someone becomes part of her crew she'll fight to keep them there. Of course, that loyalty can become complicated when paired with her possessive and demanding tendencies. Tempest will need to learn that caring about someone also means respecting their boundaries, choices, and limitations. After all.. A crew isn't a collection of cats who belong to the captain. They're cats who choose to sail beside her. ⚓ ≋ ◖❝ No tellin' where im going, ❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ I've got other ships to see. ❞◗ ≋ ☾ VII. THE VOYAGE AHEAD ☽ ≋ ◖❝ I'm freer than a swallow, ❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ The wind is home to me. ❞◗ ≋ ⚓ FUTURE PLANS Tempest has never been particularly good at thinking small. Even now, her dreams stretch considerably farther than the borders of MossClan. She wants to explore, discover, accomplish, and eventually create something that has never existed before. And that last part is perhaps the most important. THE HORIZON Tempest wants to see what lies beyond the world she already knows. She wants to explore waterways, discover unfamiliar places, and experience things that most Clan cats would never think to search for. Her curiosity is unlikely to disappear as she grows, in fact, it will probably become stronger as she realizes just how much of the world remains unknown. She doesn't want to simply hear stories about distant places. She wants to see them herself. THE CREW Eventually, Tempest wants to gather cats who share her love for adventure. Not followers. Not servants. A crew. Cats who can contribute their own strengths, challenge her ideas, and stand beside her when things inevitably go wrong. She wants to build something where every member has a purpose. And, perhaps most importantly, she wants to prove that a group of cats doesn't need to follow the traditional paths laid out for them. They can make their own. THE CAPTAIN Tempest's greatest ambition is to become a captain. Not because she wants power for the sake of power, but because she wants the freedom to decide where her life goes, and bring others along for the journey. The irony is that becoming a captain will require her to take on more responsibility, not less. Her future will likely force her to learn that freedom and responsibility aren't opposites. You can choose your own path while still caring about the cats walking beside you. You can chase something impossible without dragging everyone else along with you. And you can lead without forgetting that your crew has minds, dreams, and limits of their own. THE UNKNOWN There is no guarantee that Tempest's dreams will unfold exactly as she imagines them. She may become a captain. She may fail. She may change her mind entirely. She may discover that the world beyond MossClan is nothing like the one she's imagined. But one thing is certain: Tempest is going to keep moving. Because wherever her journey eventually takes her, she has never been the kind of cat to stare at the horizon and simply wonder. She'll want to know what's out there. And if nobody has gone there before? All the better. ⚓ ≋ ◖❝ My song'll make you love me, ❞◗ ≋ ≋ ◖❝ Thats why you danced aboard. ❞◗ ≋
