Sunsetcourage forced her feathers down into a relaxed position as she saw her eldest son leave camp. She loved Foggyflood. He was her cloud. Her reminder. And the one who (in her eyes) gave her a chance to redeem herself of Foggykit and she couldn't be prouder of the warrior he became. Still she couldn't help but be constantly reminded of that dreaded day her brother had saved her every time she saw her kit near the edge of camp. To say it gave her a scare would be an understatement. It was why she'd always kept Foggyflood and Sunflowerpaw away from the camp edge as kits. Then her worry got worse after losing Sunflowerpaw. Did she stop her son from having a normal apprenticehood? No. Because she knew better than to do that. But it still gave her a scare whenever he left camp. After becoming a warrior it became slightly worse with Foggyflood deciding to challenge a hawk. Sunny was pretty sure she'd purposefully stayed out of camp that day to avoid trying to smother him out of worry and as a consequence. Embarrass him. Still. She was grateful he'd moved his nest close to hers. That way she could keep an eye on him. Make sure whatever happened to his littermate didn't happen to him. But she couldn't stop him from exiting camp and she couldn't follow him either. She had her own duties and her own apprentice. She trusted him she really did...it was...she was worried. Sunsetcourage closed her eyes and took a deep inhale and exhale forcing her feathers down. Speaking of her feathers. They were a bit dirty. Maybe she could do some preening while she waited for her next patrol. Yes. She would do that. That sounded good. She lied down in a rather sunny spot and started to preen in an attempt to get rid of her worry. It didn't work...it never worked...
