Potential content warning for mentions of parasites/some minor violence + gender dysphoria ⚔️ Something was off. Something had always been off. Ptarmigan couldn’t remember a time when he didn’t feel like this. Sure, it wasn’t always /this/ bad but it still was there. But now, this cruel and twisted feeling was violently clawing at his insides like some parasitic creature, desperate to make him feel miserable for its own selfish gain. The feeling was so strong and specific, yet for some reason he was struggling to put it into words. Why? Ptarmigan never felt right with himself, obviously. Everyone knew that the fight with Marigoldkit messed him up and made him unhealthily desperate for strength and attention— even he knew that deep down. but was that really the /only/ reason he felt this way? It couldn’t be. It didn’t explain the awkwardness and grossness he felt when interacting with other cats, and it didn’t explain why he felt so… uncomfortable with himself. It was almost as if he felt like he wasn’t being perceived properly. Like the Ptarmiganpaw everyone knew wasn’t actually the real h… That was it. Ptarmiganpaw didn’t want to be a boy. She never did. Huh. Maybe She didn’t have to be one. She didn’t have to be /seen/ as one. She didnt have to just put up with that feeling anymore. She didn’t have to be miserable. Ptarmiganpaw was a girl, and nobody could tell her otherwise. Esrp, constructive criticism (for both the writing and the art) appreciated! I’m sorry for not making this long, but I didn’t want to drag it out too much and I think I got the point across pretty well! https://files.catbox.moe/wk7qy7.png Hq version
