van Dak has finally passed his long-awaited economic reforms. Ever since becoming president, one of his big political promises was making the business world more fair, safe for its workers, and overall a less grimy place. It introduces more restrictions, regulations, and rules for a lot of things. While that seems pretty bad for the economy, it has come with freeing some trade barriers and restrictions. Many politicians weren't very fond of the idea, claiming it would dampen trade and harm the economy, causing it to stall out for a while. It took a lot of convincing to finally push it out for the presidential sign-off. Now, this whole thing might seem fairly insignificant. But Erik III watches with worry, because he remembers the emails. They said "don't let van Dak sign his economic laws". Or something happens to Erik. Now they've been signed into law. And the anonymous sender? He's not one to break a promise.
