An initial contingent of 10,000 Laurentian infantry have been sent to Cuba to liberate its people from the Fascist Menace. The first contingent covertly infiltrates a beachhead chosen for its thick mangroves and swampy environment with very poor logistics due to the Sierra Maestra mountains. This does make it a bit difficult to cross, but it also makes it a spot that would be an unexpected point to attack, and thus a point less defended if at all (important, because amphibious assaults SUCK), and brings us to the Sierra Maestra, where a conventional military struggles to reach, yet with lots of people, including communist guerillas who are hiding out. Upon entering the Sierra Maestra, we begin to redistribute land and bring reform to the fraternal people of Cuba, which should rally widespread support against the Fascist Filth (especially given the genocide), which gives us the ability to live off of the land, meaning there is no need for as much thought in logistics. We avoid direct attacks, and instead use hit-and-run tactics and high mobility to punch far above our weight, using decentralized command structures and communication using unconventional methods to prevent our front from collapsing if they attempt to target leadership. Additionally, Laurentia has gained military access to Mexico to stage further assistance to Cuba.
