so, I know that you're worried. When a scratch project's titled "hi, guys," you know its bad. We all know that by now my friends. I have been on scratch for five years. I started in fourth grade. now i'm in high school. and honestly? this has been one of the most impactful spaces in my young life. you guys really let me figure out who I was and helped me grow. but i'm in highscool now. I'm fourteen. I open this website and have zero messages because all my friends have abandoned scratch already and i have no time or motivation to post projects. But you guys really mean a lot to me. really. I know I still have friends on here, but the ogs, the ones that I chatted with almost everyday and have since gone off to start youtube channels and abandon me in college have all peacfully accepted how things were and moved on, leaving so many wonderful memories behind them. I still love this site. I still love to see new anim memes, I still love to get comments, and still love to chat with people. but i open it and its finally time to say something I've been holding off from. it might be time to let go. I have a big life outside of scratch. I have plays to be apart of, and marching band performances, and books to publish. I can't live here forever, still pretending like i'm a warrior cats or wof fan, still pretending like i watch percy jackson edits, still pretending im still a therian, still making map parts about cats. all of it is amazing, and was amazing. no matter what age you are, love this period of you life with all you heart. this is the time that really shapes us. but ive got a world to live in. ive got trends to follow. Ive got dances to go to. Ive got friendship drama to deal with. I have to go and be in highschool now, guys. but i really love you. really, really, really. this might be my last project. it might not. I know ive got map parts to finish, sigh. ill try and find time somewhere. i'll finish wish you were gay dw. it feels weird because Ive read so many of thse letting go speeches over the years. it bitter sweet to write one. and i know that reading this, you're feeling exactly how i felt watching my friends and my role models on scratch move forward with their lives. but trust me, love. you're going great places. and ill be there waiting when you get there. im still checking messages. feel free to always reach out to your forever pal bee. im here for you guys. and with that, im letting go of my beloved scratch. it's time.
im crying writing this.
