He was originally a zoo mascot for a popular zoo in Japan, where, every day, he greeted tourists and took snaps with little kids. He would tell them stories of the olden times, and sometimes let them into the red panda exhibits personally, so they could interact with the furry creatures. They all loved the red pandas in the zoo --- and the mascot representing them !! Tanuki was a very popular figure in Japan. One day, many, many years later, a little girl he had once taken a picture with came up to him in his spot in the zoo. The zoo hadn't lost popularity, after all. She was all grown up, and showed him her degree in veterinarian sciences. "You were my inspiration," she exclaimed. "You helped me open my eyes to the world." Of course, he was very, very moved by her words. He loved that he was inspiring generations of young kids into what they would become tomorrow. Over time, more and more kids would come and tell him how much they loved the red pandas as a kid and how it was an unforgettable moment of their childhood. But he had one particular problem he had been trying to grasp, for a long time. He wanted to see and explore the world himself. One day, while the technology engineers and scientists were updating some of his new features, he removed the flash drive containing his data and was free of the company. The scientists were too late --- he was already off into the unknown of the internet + the universe !! Every day since that day, Tanuki would surf the Internet (literally), join tourists on their livestreams, appear on F4cetlme screens, and all beyond !! He loved learning more about the outside world, and how much our planet contained possibility, hopes, dreams... Of course, he would also help people along the way. Afterwards, if he wasn't in a computer or electronic system, he would take off into the sky with his rocket boosters, soaring off into the unknown. Day after day, he's always on the move, learning new things and exploring the world. You can never know where he goes next !! In fact, he might be in your computer software right now, waiting to say hi... XDD (why did that last line sound like something out of a h0rror flick huhh) sorry T0T i was doing my math homework and this idea suddenly popped into my head lmao
