(This is about an attempt I made btw) Sugar Static Intro (monotone) The morning came without a sound. The curtains stayed completely down. A message waited on my phone. I let it ring. I stayed alone. Verse 1 (monotone) I washed a glass and dried the rim. The kitchen light was growing dim. A little row of paper ghosts Was standing where I needed them most. The label promised peaceful sleep. The hallway tilted underneath. I lined the edges, one by one, And watched the shadows block the sun. Pre-Chorus (restrained, layered vocals) No grand goodbye, no final scene, Just faded colors on the screen. The quiet pressed against my chest— A lullaby that wouldn’t rest. Chorus (high beat, cheerful and frantic) Spin me faster, faster, faster! Paint the ceiling pink with laughter! Turn the volume past the pain, Make the whole world glitch again! Jumping pixels, flashing white, Everybody looks all right! If I vanish in the sound, Will the music still go round? Hey! Hey! Don’t let go! There’s a pulse beneath the glow! Hey! Hey! Call my name! I’m not finished with this game! Verse 2 (monotone) The clock displayed a little past The hour I thought would be my last. My tongue was numb, my fingers cold. The room was quiet. I was old. A photograph beside the sink Had someone smiling at the brink. I turned it over, facedown, flat, As if I could become like that. Pre-Chorus (monotone, more distorted) The ceiling fan repeats the phrase: “You’ll feel better in a haze.” But underneath the buzzing wire, Something small refused to tire. A shadow moved beneath the door. No miracle, no golden sky— Just someone staying by my side. Breakdown (chopped phrasing) Not a dream. Not a sign. Not a peaceful Exit line. Breathe in. Look up. Say the words: “I need help.” Final Chorus (fastest, brightest) Spin me faster, faster, faster! I’m still here beneath the laughter! Turn the volume past the pain, Let the broken signal change!
