_~* Ivory Update *~_ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Update ~ We took Ivory down to Will o' Wisp Acres to ride at their XC Course since we don't have one ourselves at the moment. Ivory took the ride there quite well, and didn't put up much of a fuss with the trailer, so I was feeling good about all of this as I tack her up. I could tell she was excited too since I can never challenge her enough down at home. We started at a nice extended canter and Ivory got this sudden boost of energy after seeing the first jump, and decided she would leap over it with gusto. She became more collected again after landing and almost charged at the next jump, thankfully I was half-expecting it and kept her at her steady pace. She cleared it and happily cantered along as we made our way to the next spot. I looked at the log, and the path, and decided she would prefer to jump, and pinpointed her at it. She became confused as she saw the water, and landed oddly, but slowly got used to it and continued on with ease. After seeing the next jump IN the water Ivory almost stumbled, but gathered herself and cleared it. I quickly learned that she needed more training done in water. She saw the jump back to land and looked happier than ever. She sped up and cleared the jump back to land with ease. After the water she was slowly getting accustomed to the odd jumps. She cleared the next one with ease, although it did seem like a bit of a stretch for her. As we continued on we came out a jump that dearly confused Ivory. But I helped her keep going, and she cleared it with ease. As we continued on I could feel her getting tired, but still giving her all. So as we came up to a jump like none of the other she sped up and jumped it with intent. After that jump, she cleared the next one with ease. But as we came up to the second to last jump, she slightly shied away, not feeling great about jumping through something. I kept her going, and gave her a squeeze, and we cleared it. I gave her a couple pats as we neared the last jump by now she was so tired she jumped it with all she could, and cantered as long as she had to before I told her to walk. [ She stopped so suddenly I swear I could've flown off ] we walked until we neared the trailer, where I dismounted, and gave her a nice bath. She was so glad to have a break she didn't mind the trailer all that much, and we got home super soon. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Thank you so much Stxrry-Nightz- for letting me visit! :)
