Have fun! ⭐ Pseudo-3D Raycasting Engine 1. Overview: This represents the ultimate challenge in Scratch. The task involves creating a first-person perspective game similar to the classic *Doom*. All calculations take place on a top-down 2D map, yet the visual output rendered to the screen is a 3D environment. 2. Core Feature Requirements: • Raycasting Algorithm: The character projects a series of "rays" outward from their viewpoint. When a ray strikes a wall on the 2D grid map, the system records the distance between the character and that wall. • Trigonometry: Application of Sine and Cosine functions, along with Field of View (FOV) calculations, to correct the "fish-eye" distortion effect. • Rendering via Pen Extension: Use the Pen tool to draw vertical lines on the screen. Shorter distances result in longer lines (taller walls) and brighter colors; greater distances result in shorter lines (smaller walls) and darker colors to create the illusion of depth (Depth Shading). The entire rendering process must be encapsulated within a "Run without screen refresh" block.
