THE BACKSTORY Warning, there are some mentions of injury and bl00d. When Rivel was young, he used their power like it costed nothing. Unknowingly sacrificing his own bl00d to do small tricks. That mistake lead them to be hospitalized out of a loss of blood. Miraculously, they survived, but it made them scarred mentally. They stopped sacrificing their own bl00d, and using the world’s instead. The normal mana, leaving their power behind. But then, Rivel started noticing the amount of magic users go down. Their hypothesis is all because of the actual magic that the world holds is going down due to the stressing of mana. They then realized that their affinity—bl00d magic—is an easy way to pay back the debt that the world holds. Whether it is their own or someone else’s is varied. They didn’t care about their trauma anymore. When magic is used, they take from the world’s mana, in the air, the water, and ground. Rivel desperately wants to keep magic in this world. Although the best way of fixing this is by taking the source of life from others and himself is still up for debate. He has unconsciously turned himself into the villain by trying to save what holds this world together. They have a loyal companion whom they saved. Thyme, the healer. They also made a deal with the greatest art store owner (Splatter) to help each other. Splatter doesn’t know what Rivel is doing though.
