Ummm here's a cute song I wrote hehe ... yeah I write songs in my free time.
Sunshine in the Morgue Woke up smiling with a shovel in my hand, Blue sky shining over no-man’s land. Got a picnic packed and a blanket laid, Next to the mess that the mid night made. Neighbors wave while I whistle off-key, There’s a little red stain on my gardening knee. I plant new flowers where the bad things grew, They bloom so bright when the dirt turns blue. Pre-Chorus Everybody clap when the sirens sing, Tie a yellow ribbon to the rusty thing. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade— If life gives you bodies, make a flower bed. Chorus Hey! Put your hands up, dance in the rain, Laugh so loud you forget the pain. The world’s gone rotten, but the beat’s so sweet, Tap your toes to the sound of the meat. Hey! Everybody sing along, Nothing can go wrong when the melody’s strong. Wear your best smile, hide the knife— It’s a beautiful, beautiful night to be alive. Verse 2 Found a gold tooth underneath the stairs, Made it into jewelry—now everybody stares. Mama says I’m looking sharp today, Guess she didn’t see what I tucked away. Got a cake in the oven, frosting turning red, Made enough for the living and the recently dead. Spin around twice while the ceiling fan groans, Everybody’s welcome when the graveyard phones. Pre-Chorus Everybody clap when the blackbirds fly, Throw some confetti at the funeral line. If the hearse rolls by, give a cheerful wave— You never know when you’ll need a ride to the grave. Bridge La-la-la, the streetlights glow, La-la-la, nowhere left to go. If the end comes knocking, let it in— Offer it a drink and a crooked grin. Final Chorus Hey!
