I absolutely love your art style, and I especially loved Scorpion’s design. This is actually my first time drawing an Ice/Sand hybrid so I hope it turned out well. Backstory: Scorpion is a SandWing-IceWing hybrid born in the desert to Shale, a SandWing sandblower and glassmaker, and Frostbite, an IceWing guard. His parents met when Frostbite became separated from her patrol during a sandstorm and stumbled into Shale’s glassmaking workshop. He gave her shelter and water, and despite being complete opposites, the two grew close. Frostbite eventually chose to stay in the desert with him. Scorpion was born on an unusually cold desert night. He inherited golden SandWing scales mixed with pale white IceWing markings, his mother’s blue eyes, and his father’s warm scales. His scales are warm to the touch like a SandWing’s, but frost gathers around his talons whenever he sleeps. His parents initially worried about what his life would be like. Neither tribe had much of a place for hybrids, and an IceWing-SandWing was particularly unusual. Frostbite feared IceWings would consider him an embarrassment, while Shale worried SandWings would never fully accept him for who he was. Scorpion has a venomous tail barb that releases unusually cold venom. Instead of burning or stinging like normal SandWing venom, it feels icy and numb, rapidly cooling the victim’s blood and eventually freezing it. He can also breathe frost, though both abilities are weaker than those of pure SandWings or IceWings. His hybrid blood lets him tolerate extreme heat and cold unusually well. He is especially skilled at tracking, fighting, and glassmaking. His father taught him to shape molten sand into glass, while his mother taught him to track and fight. He can even use his frost breath to create unique frostglass. Scorpion is confident, stubborn, and adventurous, with a sarcastic sense of humor. He can be reckless and quick to act, but he is observant, and fiercely loyal to those he cares about. Although he pretends not to care what others think of him, he secretly struggles with feeling like he doesn't belong to either tribe.
