Story: Eleyria was just a normal cat. Save for the butterfly wings she was born with. The moment she opened her eyes, her golden butterfly wings unfurled. Her mother and father didn't know what to do with her, or what to think. She became a social outcast. Not only for her wings, but for the way she could never seem to keep focus. She was always too distracted to hunt. And if she couldn't hunt, she couldn't take care of herself. (She has undiagnosed autism). When she's alone, she does things no one else can do. She can /fly/ And she can retreat to her own, personal paradise. Her DreamScape. A place where she can be alone, create anything, be anything. She spent most of her time there, after her parents died. She was only drawn out of her shell by Tarous. A tom-cat with feather wings, almost like her own. Tarous was the only cat who really understood her, who was patient with her through her mental lapses. The only cat who could join her in her DreamScape. Until the day he died. Attacked by an eagle, the eagle killed him. And with a slice of its claws, shredded one of her bright, unique butterfly wings. She fell into depression. Until a vision of Tarous met her in her dreamscape. He told her that there was still hope for her, that she was going to do incredible things. She asked him why she had to keep going on, when it was so hard to live. When it was so hard for cats to understand. Why no cat would ever be able to understand. To never understand like Tarous had. Tarous told her that there were going to be cats who could understand. But she had to trust. So she tried. She tried to make friends. And she did. She made friends with Lioly. A she-cat who was as normal as her parents. And that spread. Even with her newfound disability. Lioly introduced her to Thorn. Thorn saw her differently. He loved her, and Eleyria learned to love him back. Tarous still watches over her to this day. And he watches over her kits too. Until Eleyria joined him in death, and Thorn with her. I LOOOOOOOVE her design. It's so pretty! I think this is the best art I've ever done! Btw Scratch darkened the colors a bit, and since it's all a purple light, some of the orange patterns got a bit lost /sigh. I hope you love this just as much as I do!
