13-year-old Blossom Moore waited patiently in her car. But that didn't mean she didn't count the hours she has been sitting in her uncomfortable seat in her dad's car. I wonder why he went to grandma's house and I couldn't come with him, Blossom thought. It was a LONG time and Blossom fell asleep for two hours, and woke up, but her dad still wasn't back yet. Blossom started to worry. "I should just leave the car and see what he's doing." Blossom said to herself. She opened her car door and walked through her grandma's open front door. Blossom gasped as she heard her dad and her grandma talking. "When are you leaving for Poppy Hills?" Mr. Moore asked Grandma. Blossom felt very confused. "In about 3 hours. We should tell Blossom about the peony she will plant in you guy's backyard." Grandma explained. Blossom just couldn't help herself. She stepped all the way through the doorway, her hands on her hips. "What's happening?" She blurted out. Grandma sighed. "I'm leaving this house and going to live in another town. It's very far away from you guys. I'm sorry, Blossom sweetie." Grandma said, sliding her hand gracefully around Blossom's crimson hair. Blossom didn't look angry nor sad. She was curious. "I overheard you talking to dad that you're going to be living in a place called 'Poppy Hills'. Can you tell me more about it?" Blossom asked. Grandma sighed, leaning into her brown chair in her vintage-looking living room. Blossom was sad, though. She would miss Grandma's vintage living room, kitchen, and bedroom. "Read this book." Grandma said, handing Blossom a book that was about Poppy Hills. Carefully, Blossom read the book: Poppy Hills is far from where you are right now, filled with flowers that bloom, even in Autumn. When its night, stars twinkle on the bright blue sea like spotlights reflecting on the water. The wind howls through the skies, sounding like enchanted whispers. When it's daytime, you hear nothing but the song of birds and leaves of trees rustling, creating a peaceful atmosphere for visitors or citizens of Poppy Hills. Right now, only 3 people live on Poppy Hills. Blossom closed the book, fascinated. "Are you sure that place is real? It sounds so beautiful there that it sounds fake." Blossom said, looking out the window and seeing a herd of equines gallop into the woods not far from Grandma's house. "Yes, Blossom dear. It's real. Now you and your dad should get going and plant the peony seed in your yard" Grandma said, with a grin on her face. Blossom smiled and nodded. "Have a good time on Poppy Hills." Blossom said, before catching up with her dad out the doorway. "Thank you, sweetie." Grandma said, right before shutting the door.
