Sunsetcourage had to physically stop herself from blocking Wildfirelament from going on patrol. She was worried for all her kits. But Wildfirelament the most. She didn't know if it was because chirp was her eldest, or because Talon had been in the medicine den not long ago...or if it was because Sunsetcourage knew far too well what was beneath that mask...she'd seen it when her fledgling had first got it...it still made her shudder thinking about it. Every single feather stood on end as Sunset watched from the warriors den as Wildfirelament soared off out of sight. It terrified her whenever Wildfirelament went outside camp. But she knew she couldn't stop chirp. They were the deputy of Falconclan for Starclans sake! And she was so proud of talon for that achievement. But that didn't stop a mother from worrying...when did it ever stop a mother from worrying. Sunny shook herself and headed towards a broken part of camp. Maybe she could fix that up. Yes. That would occupy her mind. She started out with a smile...at least before the worrisome thoughts came into play. What if someone carried her fledgling back into camp injured? What if something happened? What if...she shook herself again. No. She couldn't think about that. She refused to think about that. Still she didn't smile for the rest of the day. Just worked. She didn't remember to eat until Foggyflood had come up to her and asked her to share a squirrel with him. Her feathers didn't smooth out until Wildfirelament returned. Safe. In one piece. Flying on her own and not ble@ding anywhere. Still Sunset worried and she couldn't help but glance over at her eldest during the night in the warriors den. She would never stop worrying.
