Fast OS is a customizable OS base designed with one goal in mind: speed and efficiency. That’s right, Fast OS fits into 1,600 blocks here, whereas the previous version of Fast OS used 900 blocks but included only an application manager and nothing else. Here, you’ll find everything a minimal OS needs. Fast OS is designed as a template, so feel free to use it for your personal projects (use by AmetrineOS is reserved if they wish to use it within the context of OSWars26). 1.2.1: Add the ability to display text to the CTE, not just in apps, but also on the Scratch stage. and I plan to redo the CTE from scratch because it's really a nightmare to manage, but at the same time, it's fast and has an API that's super easy for you to use 1.2: Add a new non-optimized CTE (currently only for the application) (1,600 blocks) 1.1 Add a resizable application (1,200 blocks) 1.0.1 : 2 Bug Fix (1,100 blocks) 1.0 : Init (1,100 blocks)
With an average execution time of just 494.17 ms per call, Fast OS is nearly twice as efficient as Seaway (989.84 ms) and AmetrineOS 9.3 (990.26 ms). These results should be interpreted with caution: although all three systems were evaluated on a desktop free of other applications, their respective sizes and resource demands differ, slightly skewing the direct comparison. The tests were conducted as follows: Repeated 30 times: -set v1 to 0 -start timer timer1 -repeat 30 times --add 1 to v1 -stop timer timer1
