Zenith the high point — it comes from astronomy, where it describes the highest point in an arc traveled by a star or a planet or another celestial body. The sun reaches its zenith when it is as high in the sky as it is going to go on that day. . Nadir Nadir refers to the lowest or worst point of something. When used in astronomy, nadir describes the point of the celestial sphere that is directly opposite the zenith and vertically downward from the observer. . Monolithic big, and made of one thing. A large piece of stone jutting from the earth is a monolith. (Monolithic is a different form of the word monolith, I just prefer monolithic for a prefix. Monolith is a good suffix) . Ephemeral Lasting for a short time; transitory; fleeting. . Sempiternal no known beginning and presumably no end . Crepuscular events relating to, resembling, or occurring during twilight, meaning morning and evening hours . Inchoate not yet completed or fully developed. Not organized; lacking order . Fruticose having the form of a shrub; shrublike. (Mm yes this fluffy child is very shrublike) . Sylvan a shady, wooded area . Moonglade The bright reflection of moonlight on a body of water. (This can be a prefix/suffix AND a full name) . Clough A narrow valley; a cleft in a hillside; a ravine, glen, or gorge. . Crusade a long and determined effort to achieve something that you believe to be right or to stop something that you believe to be wrong. (My favorite suffix I've used. Endlesscrusade mention..) . Cento a piece of writing, especially a poem, composed wholly of quotations from the works of other authors. . Palinode a poem recanting or retracting something in an earlier poem (would be real funny if it was the name of a kit who's older sibling became evil </3) . Pyrrhic achieved at excessive cost, costly to the point of negating or outweighing expected benefits . Cacophony a mixture of loud and usually harsh unpleasant sounds. . Epanalepsis the repetition, after a more or less lengthy passage of subordinate or parenthetic text, of a word or clause that was used before. . Eclogue a poem in which shepherds converse .
