Click on the original project link above for more info, but heres the basics: Scratch has changed their ToS so that they now have the legal ability to use anything that anyone posts on here to train ai models. For now though, they aren’t using this ability. But they can, whenever they want to. After I finish my commissions, I won’t be posting any art on here, and if this gets worse, I’ll leave scratch entirely, on all accounts that I’ve actually posted on. And I’ll be taking down all my art and anything else I care about. Actually, unless I have any commissions by people other than my friends, I won’t post those commissions, and I’ll just email it to them. And to Scratch, please fix this. So many creators are leaving, and more WILL leave. Myself included. Why are you, a kid’s site supporting ai, and threatening to use our work to train it? For so many people, you were a safe space, a place to be creative with few limits. Now you openly support ai, in a tip toe-y way so that we won’t understand? What’s wrong with you? This is sad. I loved you. So many people loved you, and this is what you turned to?
