I have no idea how or why BUT EVERY SINGLE FALL I do two things without fail. As soon as it turns fall I have the sudden urge to listen to audiobooks. And I’ll do so CONSTANTLY, while I’m drawing, maybe doing schoolwork (if I’m lucky), playing literally any video game and sometimes I’ll even redownload old match puzzle ones to do it with, or literally just sitting in my room (preferably with tea :] ) But I ALWAYS fall out of the habit or lose intrest as soon as fall is over- sometimes itll say for a week or two in winter or I’ll randomly listen to a book in the summer but EVERY FALL I’ll binge several series. I’m currently listening to watership down and The Inheritance cycle (2nd book rn) Same thing goes for podcasts although that’s not really a fall thing and it just comes and goes in short phases (usually while I play Minecraft.) The other thing I do EVERY FALL WITHOUT FAIL and this is more of a tradition than something that I get the urge to do atp and it is to reread the entire Nevermoor series again. I read it for the first time when I was 12 when my aunt got me the first book as a b-day present and every year since I’ve been doing it around my bday in November. I also used the first book as a book report once lol I love this series so much. THE WORLDBUILDING IS SOMETHING I STRIVE TO MIMIC IN MY OWN WORLDS. ITS SO COMPLEX AND CREATIVE AND AMAZING AND ITS JUST SO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Please someone talk to me about it [PREFERABLY AFTER MY REREAD WHICH HASNT STARTED YET XD] (if you want- like.. no pressure or anything ) If anyone has any recommendations for audiobooks lmk :] I use Libby atm but might branch out if there’s something I really wanna hear that isn’t on there
Just thought it’d be fun to sometimes drop random facts abt myself or things I like :] And maybe get some other people hooked on audiobooks too (10000000% recommend the UNWANTEDS SERIES AND UNWANTEDS QUESTS GONNA RELISTEN TO IT BEFORE HEARING THE LAST BOOK. ITS TAKEN ME 2 YEARS BUT IM SO EXCITED AAAAHHHHHHHHHHGG )
