CHRISTIAN ------------------ Christians believe in God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They believe that everyone has sin and Jesus died on the cross to cleanse us from the sin. 1) What does it mean to be a Christian? 2) How do I become a Christian? 3) What should I do / how should I act as a Christian? 4) Do you have to be baptized to be a Christian? 5) Do Christians still sin? 1) What does it mean to be a Christian? Being a Christian means to follow Jesus, trying to live according to what he taught us, and having faith in him. It means to live by God, not by us. It means connecting with God. It means to try to be more like Jesus everyday. It means to spread the Gospel so more people can be saved. 2) How do I become a Christian? So being a Christian is kind of like a faith-based thing. You are a Christian because YOU want to be, not because your mom or dad is and not because someone told you to. You have to put your faith in Jesus. Admit you are a sinner and you need to be saved, believe Jesus died on the cross to save you, and repent from your sins. 3) What should I do / how should I act as a Christian? -Love God and love your neighbor -Read the Bible -Pray to him -Help others in need -Live by the Ten Commandments -Do little things for other people -Spread the word of God There are a lot of things you can do, it's not limited to what I said here. 4) Do you have to be baptized to be a Christian? Whether you NEED to be baptized to be a Christian depends on your denomination. But personally I think you don't necessarily need to be baptized in order to be a Christian because as I said, Christianity is faith-based. 5) Do Christians still sin? Yes, Christians will still sin. Even though we try to follow God, we WILL still make mistakes and do wrong things. When we sin, we ask for forgiveness and try not to do it again. God will forgive us but we can't abuse this grace. We can't go around sinning because we can ask for forgiveness and we will be forgiven. Warning: This may not be 100% accurate
