᪥ Click to zoom in! ᪥ Name: Azrael - (named after the angel of death) Title: "The Skull" Gender: Female Azrael fits very well into my OC universe in many ways, such as her unique features (wings), overall design, and more. ᪥ Story: Azrael resides in the supernatural forest of my universe, and acts as a gentle reaper of sorts, with a small twist. She does not take souls from the living, she will only harvest a soul after their natural death. If someone meets their demise within the forest, she will come to collect their soul, providing companionship and a comforting presence as she guides them to the beyond. If it is within her power, she will even grant the soul's final wish. Many find themselves lowering their guard around her, willing to share their stories and secrets. She is a great listener, and she bears her duty solemnly. Her face is clouded in shadow from her hood, and most will never see her face. If they do, it is because you have gained a mutual bond of understanding and trust with one another. This is the only way her face will be revealed, and it is more difficult for a living person. But if you are able to achieve this, the veil of darkness over her face will be lifted. In my universe, there is a young girl named Mori, who met her demise much too early. She was cursed, and because of this, her soul cannot pass on. Azrael took a liking to her quickly, her comforting nature helping Mori to learn valuable emotional lessons when they are together. Azrael takes pity on Mori and her inability to rest, but she doesn't let that affect their interactions, instead seeing Mori as her responsibility. Among other residents of the forest, most know her only by her title, "The Skull" or simply "Skull". Stories that have been passed will tell you many things, but the only way you will know the truth is by meeting her yourself; She will rarely lie if you ask honestly and without malicious intent. Despite her kindness, she has no tolerance for those with darkness clouding their hearts. If someone wishes the residents of the forest harm, she will serve as it's unwavering protector, and the souls that remain will not be spoken to, nor be shown any compassion in their trip to the beyond. ᪥ Extra details: her staff is usually used to guide and cast magic, but it can transform into a scythe if she wishes it to. She is an ancient deity, performing her duties since the beginning of the forest. She is very wise and powerful, serving as a mentor to Mori. She can see into the hearts of others, their intentions and goals, and uses it to judge the life they lived. ᪥ Art: Main entry: I really like how this turned out! It's meant to be her resting on her staff during a sunny afternoon among the trees. Sketches: 1. This was a really quick sketch to get down my idea of how she might look to strangers. 2.
