Hey guys. I just wanted to talk about something. I started scratch as a 10 year old who was bored. I was the cringiest little nerd ever. I would post stuff and be uncomfortably friendly to everyone. Some would call it zesty. I was sharing copied tutorial or 5 minute incomplete projects, and i was loving it. I made an online friend @amongshash and we went nuts and develops all kinds of projects. Eventually, there was a whole community that was putting up with my cringe and i got a false sense of validation. But eventually we all grew up and my entire generation of scratch moved on. I also went to secondary school and the switchup made it impossible to keep my scratch hobby, mainly because fo the humiliation i would get if someone from school discovered my profile. today i decided to check scratch for fun. i came back to nothing but studio updates. Most games are a generic platformer or 'art'. Im not judging it at all, but im not familiar with scratch anymore. It feels like a bot algorithm that wont let creativity shine, just like any social platform eventuates to. Im happy for whoever enjoys this version of scratch. Im 16 now, and i guess i can still try to enjoy the slightly familiar platform that carried my kid years.
