Hey yall. Before anything, I want to clarify that this is in no way a final decision, I still want to see if there's any interest in finishing the game anymore before pulling the plug. OK, now with that out of the way, let me go over the reason that i'm doing this, as it's an apparent problem that i've been ignoring for far too long. There is simply no interest in the game anymore, whether from the people making it or from the people following it, and frankly, it is simply too much for a group of kids to do, regardless of engine or owner. I don't want to just hand it over to another guy and hope they sort it out, as previous owners have done before. I'm sick and tired of dragging along a game that's been dead for months and I'm sure everyone else feels the same. Now don't get me wrong, there were some good decisions, like switching out from scratch and adding a bit more order with the roadmaps, it's just that it's a bit too late for that when we weren't even able to make the first level for practically a year, due to volatile and nuclear changes in engine, art style or otherwise destroying the scraps of progress we did. Sometimes i think that if changes like those were done before and (excuse my daring) if i was in charge earlier, this wouldn't have to happen.
I feel guilty. For not being truly involved in the game during it's initial stage despite having committed since the slack era, for not voicing out my concerns when i probably should have and for trying to revive a game that very obviously has grown irrelevant. You can think of this as an apology, a way to finally not feel anchored to this car crash of a game and be able to move on to bigger, more stable projects. again, this is not a final decision, i just wanted to voice out all this stuff that i've been in my head for so long, the final decision will mostly be influenced by what happens the next few days / weeks. If interest picks back up, we might find a way to start over, if not, i want to thank everyone who has been part of this project, i've made a lot of friends thanks to this and i've discovered my music style thanks to it, so i owe a lot to this game and it's team and I feel like most of us can say the same.
