I genuinely get asked this question all the time bc i be pulling up to school with one kinda style one day and the next day it’ll be the complete opposite and i like both- ;o; lolllll
Please read this! It’s not horribly long i promise :) BOILING Hot take: I don’t understand it when ppl say smth like “the girl that called you emo has a pink palm puff sweatshirt on, lululemon/alo leggings on, Nike socks, and uggs or berkinstocks on” inferring they’re a pick me bc they wear that… being a pick me isnt abt the clothes that get worn. thats called a style, friend… it’s about who is wearing them. Jst someone is following trends or likes the trending clothing DOESNT MAKE THEM A PICK ME im so tired of seeing posts like this. Bc how would you feel if someone who likes that style posts smth like “someone calls you a stuck up pick me and hisses at you but they’re genuinely wearing a My Chemical Romance shirt, black emo jeans, black converse, and their arms are COVERED in Kandi bracelets like how do they even walk around with that on???” We’re all human, we’re all equal, we’re all different, we all love and hate different things. Why are we treating style like we’re in a pov for population control? Let’s lock in and stop stereotyping and making fun of ppl for their style. Thx!! I’ll also note: I have seen ppl say “hot take i hate this genre of people” and it shows the Kandi, “emo,” and gothic styles. Once again, why can’t we realize the clothing isnt the issue- if someone doesnt like this style its bc of the ppl who wear the style. Not all of them, but probably the vast majority of ppl they’ve met. So while i can understand what you’re trying to say, we need to stop hating on stylessss
