-----------------------------⁀➷------------------------------- As soon as I saw this girl I knew I needed her for my universe, her design is so well thought out and frankly breathtaking. Heads up, my Universe lore is REALLY important since I'm trying to make a comic eventually, please read it to understand the lore for her since I plan on adding her to this universe if I win <3 UNIVERSE LORE: There are two realms, the Mortal Realm and the Subornum™. ⁀➷ THE MORTAL REALM: The Mortal Realm is the realm were mortal people reside, it is basically like the world irl, it adapts over time and has the same time lines (Renaissance, Victorian, medieval, modern, ect). It is ruled by Elisabeth Blackwood (ref WIP), although the mortals are oblivious to this and magic, they have elected rulers, presidents, and stuff) Elisabeth basically only keeps realm and magic stuff in order. ⁀➷ THE SUBORNUM: The Subornum is also a realm were people reside, it is very civilized it has schools and villages, but the people who live there know about and live their daily lives with and near magic. This realm is also home to many species of monsters and unique animals of varying hostility. Cherry Blackwood rules over this realm as the queen. Aging works different in the Subornum, people age slowly, for every four years in the Mortal Realm the people of the Subornum age one year. Not everyone is born in the Subornum, some start as Visitors. ⁀➷ VISITORS: Visitors are people who belong to the Mortal Realm but have the ability to visit Subornum. The only way to join or visit the Subornum is if a portal opens to Them. They can come and go between the two realms freely but if They stay longer than a day They will permanently be stuck in the Subornum. When a Visitor decides to stay in the Subornum They physically change a little, example: They could gain a trait like a button eye, a tail, Their arm could become star matter, well you get the point. Cherry chooses who the portal opens to, she tries to choose people with a reason to want to escape to the Subornum, her goal is to get as many people as possible to join her realm. Elisabeth wants to protect the people from this fate so she put a limit to how many times Cherry can open a portal: two times in four mortal years. ⁀➷ PEOPLE BORN IN THE SUBORNUM: Some people are born in the Subornum they grow up fantasizing about the legendary 'Mortal Realm' and in school they learn about laws and how Visitors work, many dream of one day meeting a Visitor themselves. They to are physically changed but the difference appears when they are about ten (still deciding when). ⁀➷ HOW TO LEAVE THE SUBORNUM: The ONLY way to leave the Subornum is if a Visitor chooses a person to take out of the Subornum. When a Visitor takes someone out neither Visitor or the person they took can ever return, Their portal closes. The person the Visitor took from the Subornum is still physically changed of course, but the regular mortals are blind to the alterations, only the Visitor, the person they took, and people who know about the Subornum will see the alterations. WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE SUBORNUM RIGHT NOW: Whispers of rebellion have been growing since Caspian Müller, a young prodigy and with amazing leadership, started touring around the Subornum giving public advocacy speeches trying to preach ideas of rebellion. A year later, unbeknownst to the general public and monarchy, Caspian has recently organized a secret rebel army which he leads covertly. The Monarchy is currently trying to locate and destroy them. Under Caspian's outstanding lead they have remained undiscovered, this has been very irritating to the queen, making her lose her patience and start trying to squash the rebellion by taking drastic actions. CHARACTER LORE: Name: Sekizui Oshima (everyone calls her Izuki) Gender: female Age: 19 Occupation: Rebel scout Lineage: born in the Subornum ⁀➷ EARLY LIFE: Izuki was born into a wealthy family. They had a big house on a large amount of private land. As an only child she grew very close with her parents, they were a perfectly happy family. Her parents were rather undecided on their political views and wanted to remain neutral, which was hard with growing political division. Things started to go downhill for Izuki and her family when Caspian first stirred up thoughts of rebellion. One day soldiers appeared outside Izuki's home. They barged in and accused her parents of hosting rebel meetings in their home. Her parents tried to tell the soldiers they were neutral pacifists and had nothing to do with the rebels, while Izuki stood there terrified and helpless. The soldiers weren't convinced, when they seized her parents, Izuki ran at the soldiers and tried to free her parents. One of the soldiers easily knocked her down and started to take her too. Her mother and father screamed in protest and begged them let her go. They told her parents (continued in instructions)
(continued) they would leave her if they came quietly. Her parents agreed, as Izuki cried and begged the soldiers to take her too. The soldiers took her parents and left, leaving a crying Izuki in a empty house. (this event was one of the drastic measures the queen took to destroy the rebellion, imprisoning people without a trial or concrete proof and sometimes even executing them) Now alone and not knowing if her parents were even alive, Izuki decided she would never feel helpless again, she began training herself in the art of the sword and martial arts. ⁀➷ CURRENT LIFE: (years later) Now an expert in self defense, Izuki tried to keep living her life as her parents would have wanted, keeping her head up and staying social, even though it seemed impossible at times. In high school she met her best friend, a grumpy, serious, paranoid, yet passionate, girl named Althea. Without a family, Izuki quickly clung to her, Althea who was basically a loner without any friends, found this pretty awkward at first but soon grew to love Izuki. Both being only children, they grew very close, Izuki being the younger sister Althea never had, and Althea being the family Izuki lost. Sadly, they lost connection after graduating :( She later ran into Althea at a coffee shop, Izuki found out Althea now belonged to the secret rebel group (which is why they lost connection), led by Caspian, Althea's old friend. Then Izuki made a decision that would change her life, she joined the rebel army and dedicated her life to destroying the monarchy, and avenging her parents. Izuki now enjoys hanging out with Althea in the base camp. She is a scout for the rebel army, checking out areas that are involved in Caspian's plans or the future battle fields. In her downtime Izuki goes to the movies and practices her martial arts with Althea, who she's currently teaching. ⁀➷ PERSONALITY: Izuki is a social extrovert. She never misses an opportunity to tease a friend or poke fun at them. Izuki doesn’t anger that easily, but she doesn’t have much patience for diplomats, whacking people works much more efficiently in her opinion, she can be quite the goof at times. She is kind, caring, and puts a lot of importance in family and friends. Izuki is brave, which can sometimes come off as recklessness, but she just wants to protect those she loves, while not caring what happens to herself. Izuki's also pretty stubborn and headstrong. Oh my gosh that was a lot of typing, sorry it was so much lore, I'm trying to make a comic about this universe so the backstories and lore are all pretty detailed :'D I hope you still enjoyed it though.
