the canadians in ww1 were absolutely brutal click any soldier for next slide
because the Canadians were part of the British Empire, they were required to fight in the European trenches of ww1 to defend France, as Britain and France were bound by treaty as allies to defend one another. the Hague Pact had been signed before the war to end any possibilities of chemical warfare, but Canada didn't technically exist, and you can't sign a pact if you don't exist... so they gassed the Germans. a lot. they also threw corned beef into German trenches, and when the opponent got up to thank them and ask for more... in the grenade goes. *pam pam pam* and the trench is now empty. also, one time, a Canadian soldier was escorting a German POW (prisoner of war), and noticed the prisoner had a coat pocket and he (the soldier) had a Mills bomb (early British grenade)... and the POW went POW. and when the Germans were surrendering after a battle, the soldiers raised their Ross Rifles and Huot Automatics anyway... *pam chk chk* *poppoppop* *thud* yeah its a lil hard to obey a pact you didn't sign because you really couldn't sign it
