08/27/2034 *Operation: Sudden-Death* at exactly 0100 hours the skies above Adleria lit up with bright flashes and booms the cause of these explosions are a massive air assault from the GSTF as we have been paid by Artesia 24 billion dollars to carry out an attack with the goal of weakening Adlerias air defenses over the past few days GSTF aircraft including 120 F-24's 40 F-4x's and all 20 F-V's had been transported to Artesian airfields and prepared for war and at 0000 hours those aircraft began their flight low and extremely fast towards the Adlerian border and once they reached Adlerian airspace they instantly engaged any Adlerian aircraft currently in the air afterwards all F-4x's split off and began to climb to 80,000 feet while the F-V's and F-24's pressed on further into Adlerian airspace picking off more and more Adlerian fighters as they went Adlerian fighter pilots desperately called for backup as they were being shot down one by one but as time went on no backup came the radio operators could not give a clear reason as to why only that "they couldn't take off!" slowly and surely any and all Adlerian fighters within 50 miles of the border to Artesia had been shot down and with no backup taking off and any other reinforcements from further in would take hours to arrive SAM's would be the only systems upon which Adleria could rely on to defend but even those were fairly ineffective due to the low altitudes at which their targets were flying... the attack was over at 0348 hours and all GSTF fighters withdrew back to Artesia a few hours later the sun began to rise and the reason for the lack of backup became apparent as the airfields and mainly tarmac of the runways had been carpet bombed by the high altitude bombings of the F-4x Fraggers rendering the runways and airfields unusable and without a suitable place to take off and land there was no way for Adleria's air force to respond and not only that but a substantial amount of SAM systems were struck as well the result of this attack was the crippling of the Adlerian Air Force and the inoperability of their airfields total casualties: Adlerian fighters: 86 Adlerian SAM's: 8 SAM sites and over 48 systems destroyed/inoperable GTSF aircraft losses F-24's: 6 shot down by SAM and 4 taken out in air to air with Adleria total of 3 GSTF pilots who ejected and were subsequently captured by Adlerian military, negotiations are ongoing to get them back F-4x: none lost F-V's none lost any aircraft lost are being re-produced to make up for GSTF losses Operation: Sudden-Death status?: successful as of 08/28/2034 all GSTF aircraft will now be transported back to GSTF operated airfields
