I love the way the top half turned out, especially the horns, hair and earrings. I don’t have much to say about the art, this piece wasn’t meant to be deep or symbolic, but it was slightly based on the vibe of the song Child of the Stars by Fish in a Birdcage… It was really fun to render, especially the snake… I can’t wait to draw Noodle again in my future entries… ✪———————————————————————✪ BIO AND LORE: Hi, Indi here. The Crests are a rat, hare, hawk, snake, deer, fox, wolf, raven, sheep, bear, cat, and butterfly. Ashi would correspond with the snake, naturally. There's a whole story centered around the Crests and it relates to the history, names, and placement of the islands, and hopefully one day I'll make a comic of it cause I have one planned… EXTRA 2 I didn’t know where this segment should go but I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE COLOR PALETTE. Ashi’s color palette couldn’t be more perfect because blue/teal and red is the color palette of the Destroyer and the Destroyer mages. When mages start their official (government monitored™) training they always start with wearing light blue (the color that represents magic) with a few accents of their God's color (either yellow or red for the Creator and Destroyer, respectively). As the mage gets stronger and rises in the ranks, they slowly replace the light blue of their robes with yellow or red. You can typically tell how strong a mage is based on the ratio of blue to yellow/red on their robes, take Osinne for example; as the Archmage of Creation his robes are almost entirely yellow. But in the case of Ashi (who abandoned her government monitored™ training and opted to train by herself) you can't judge her strength using that metric. There's a whole saying, “don’t judge a mage by their robes,” after all… (And Deki and Sora don't even wear blue…) Sorry that was a really long and unnecessary rant… (Ask me more about Sundial color theory.
