Perikina is made up of 17 departments (depariteman), plus one federal district which holds the capital. There originally used to be four (as shown in the national flag), those being Marisha, Pelni, Feruya, and Wusti. But as Perikina grew, new departments were added, borders were shifted, and some large departments were split.
