|| Welcome To Scratchville! || Explore a scrolling town with Scratch Cat and his friends in this interactive RPG sandbox, complete with highly realistic volume effects and high-quality, layered parallax graphics! Dance with Zepto, talk with Crab, go on a lemonade quest with Nano, and enjoy the beautiful scenery! Headphones are highly recommended to get the full experience! As you walk closer or farther from a sound, the sounds will pan across your right and left headphones and realistically fade, making you feel immersed in 3D sounds. ~Controls~ -Use the left and right arrow keys to move Scratch Cat! -Use the up arrow key to jump (Note that the jumping is just an extra feature, it doesn't move you forward if you run while jumping). Sorry, this isn't mobile friendly yet!! ~Chatting~ Press space to open the chat menu, and you'll see a selection of phrases you can say to any NPC (Non-Player Character)! Press a number key to say your chosen phrase, and the character will reply. If a chat option has the "Quest" label, that means that phrase is used for quests. If the character doesn't respond or you see the speech bubble flashing, you are too far away from who you are trying to chat with, and you'll have to move closer. You can have small conversations with characters for now, but more chat features are coming soon! ~Quests~ You can have fun with interactive quests and journeys as you meet all the characters! When you greet a character, they'll give you instructions on how to receive a quest from them. If a character doesn't say anything about quests when you say hi, that means that NPC doesn't have quests for you yet. When you receive a quest from a character, they'll give you instructions on how to complete it, and sometimes they might even add a special new option to your chat menu to help! Once you've completed all the steps in your quest, go back to the quest giver and tell them you're done (there's an option in the chat menu). They might award you with a prize, or just say good job!
