Today was a great day for some polework practice! I brought Lenny into the arena and started with a simple warm-up, making sure we were both relaxed and listening before getting started. We began by walking over a few poles on the ground, focusing on keeping a steady rhythm and getting our distances right. After warming up, we moved into some trotting exercises. The poles were spaced out so we had to stay balanced and maintain an even pace. At first, Lenny was a little too excited and wanted to rush over the poles, but after a few tries, we settled into a much better rhythm. I also practiced steering through different pole patterns, which really helped with accuracy and control. By the end of the session, Lenny was stepping over the poles calmly and confidently. It was definitely a good workout, and I could tell we were both improving! Polework may look simple, but it takes a lot of focus and balance. I'm really happy with how today's practice went and can't wait to try some more challenging exercises next time!
