Two weeks later, the Clans were almost at their destination. However, the holidays were soon coming to an end. This time, though, the Hogwarts students among the cats could visit the Clan more frequently, as it was only a ten-minute journey from Hogwarts to RiverClan—and to the area where the Clans would be settling. They would need time to adjust to the new prey, the environment, and the neighboring Clans. Fortunately, a large river flowed through the forest, though it was still a day's journey away. By now, many cats were exhausted, and some had fallen ill; everyone hoped they would arrive soon. Suddenly, it began to rain—heavily. That evening, the cats sought shelter beneath some old trees and rested. The next morning, they arrived at the river early. They followed its course until they reached RiverClan. There, two of the leaders—Greystar and Featherstar—approached the RiverClan leader; they told him of their plight and explained that they wished to make their home there until they rebuilt and replanted the islands.
Collaborating with @Zoomy_’s Holly Granger series, which is now writing the story of Natascha Granger, Marleen’s daughter. Thanks to JK Rowling, Erin Hunter, and my friends for my ideas.
