i was going to do this earlier, but forgot, but I'm making up for it. it's, a bit too late for something like this, in my opinion, because, I'm assuming most people have forgotten rec room, after it shut down. for those of you who don't know, rec room was a free, online game you could play on any device. it was a good alternative to other games like roblox, which was nice, you know, with all the problems that roblox has. the predators and all. you could build anything, from experiences, to outfits, maybe even a community. it was a game that encouraged creativity, created great memories, and is something no game could ever replace. it gave you the freedom roblox has, but safer, and with great memories that are more the priceless. a bit of info about my rec room experience in the notes and credits. (P.S, if you played rec room and miss it, then add your OC alongside mine, so we can remember together. ) also, the words under the dates read " just give it your rec room best!" -coach.
when i first played rec room, it was boring at first. but then, when i played it more, i realized rec room is more then what it looks. nothing will replace the feeling of first loading into orientation and walking through its rooms and halls, getting my watch, and creating my first character, which i played with for many years, until, i lost it to a hacker. i lost all my outfits, all my tokens, all my items, all of it. but, i didn't let this incident break me, in fact, i saw this as sort of, a new beginning in my rec room journey. i made a new account, pressed play, and the feeling of the very first time i loaded into orientation all of a sudden came back to me, making me feel something. like 100%ing a new video game, then making a new save, just to go on the adventure one last time. i got some new cosmetics, new outfits, a whole new personality, new friends, and new me, of sorts. when i heard of the shut down. i was feeling multiple feelings. pain, sadness, anger, shock, but also, acceptance, knowing, that i lived my rec room journey my way, making my own choices, deciding how my rec room story goes. I bet I'm sounding so corny right now, huh? but anyways, it was one of my top favorite games, and nothing can replace those memories. if you didn't know that, i hope you do now. I will never forget the experiences that i played in my time with rec room, and i will always remember my journey in this wonderful game. i may not be able to play rec room again, but non the less, my rec room story, is not done, YOUR rec room story, has just begun, and if you have played rec room, your story, your journey, like mine, is not done. as i speak, another game, Act II, is in the makings, and will soon be available to play, meaning, our stories, are not over, not yet anyway. so, go out, play some video games or something, and whatever your doing, remember, give it you rec room best.
