Jumping Sienna Small update I haven’t updated on Sienna for a real long minute, so I thought introducing our new arena would be a perfect time to do some jumping and updating! Sienna is a speedy little mare we bought some time ago; our plan was to make her an eventing horse, but little Sienna is (how to put this nicely…) a monster when it comes to dressage (and I don’t mean a Cookie Monster!)! Because of this she has been fully reoriented towards show jumping and a little Cross Country! I’ve been planning to enter her in a beginner or low class of a SJ show. I put out a small course of sorts consisting of a in-out and a cantering pole then jump in diagonal. After a quick warmup and a few warmup jumps we went over the course at about 60cm. This was easy for her and she passed it without problems. Afterwards we went up to 70 and got the same results. After going over it twice at 80cm and about 40 minutes of riding I decided to call it a day as we were both quite sweaty, summer isn’t over quite yet! A third revamp of Alpines is coming soon! Including this new outdoor arena, an indoor arena, our new stalls, a new XC course, and more! Super happy with how the arena turned out!
