Epilogue “Long ago, people were gifted with magical powers. Those without magic believed they were dangerous, so they formed a rebellion against them and named the magical people the Tempests. As the war against them began, a brave queen named Sonia brought peace to the land. Everyone who survived the war with powers gathered together, and she gave each of them her blessing. Then they went their separate ways, each creating a kingdom of their own. The first kingdom was ruled by Queen Sonia, who possessed the power of Time. Just below her kingdom was Queen Zelda, who wielded the power of Light; Queen Ocarina, who ruled over Night; and their brother, King Everett, who possessed the power of Shadows. The kingdoms beneath theirs were ruled by Queen Fawn, with the power of Nature; King Trident, with the power of Water; King Cinder, with the power of Fire; and Queen Skylar, with the power of Wind. Below them were Queen Miniru, with the power of Spirit; Queen Storm, with the power of Storm; and King Blizzard, with the power of Ice. But far below their class were Acorn, the Keeper of Animals; Pastel, the Keeper of Color; and Elodie, the Healer. Each of them possessed a magical power except for Elodie. She could only brew potions, but Queen Sonia saw something in her, not magic, but intelligence. Years later, King Everett let the power he possessed consume him and took advantage of it. Queen Sonia had no choice but to strip him of his rank, lowering him below Acorn, Pastel, and Elodie. But before they could banish him, he escaped to the midnight forest.” “Is that really the whole story, Mummy?” Sofia asked her mother. “Not yet, no,” her mother said gently, closing the brown book. “Then what happened next?” Sofia asked as the warm firelight washed over her face. “Well, the Tempests are still alive, and we live under the protection of Queen Zelda-” “The Queen of Light!” Sofia giggled. “That’s right,” her mother said with a small laugh. Suddenly, the door whooshed open. A man stood in the doorway, soaking wet as snow blew in. “Daddy?” Sofia asked. Her mother looked at him, then back at Sofia. “Are you ready?” Sofia nodded gently and stood up. Her mother set the book down on the chair and walked out the door with her.
Hope you like it Shrimpy. >:)
